You need to start by disabling Windows Defender, as it can impact the installation. Here’s how you can disable it in Windows 10, but the steps are similar in older versions of Windows.
- To disable Windows Defender, you need to open ‘Windows Settings’. Then, click on ‘Update & Security’.
- Now, navigate to ‘Windows Security’ and then click on the ‘Open Windows Security’ button.
- Click on the icon labelled as ‘Virus & Threat Protection’.
